Exchange 2010 Mailbox Server Role Requirements Calculator v17.2

Apenas algumas semanas após a disponibilização da versão 16.5, eis que Ross Smith IV anuncia no Microsoft Exchange Team Blog que a ferramenta Mailbox Server Role Storage Requirements Calculator foi mais uma vez actualizada, agora para a versão 17.2.

De acordo com a página de registo de actualizações, estas são as principais novidades:

Bug Fixes

  • Database Copy Distribution fixes:

    • Prevented distribution calculation when Input sheet values are invalid; added row in header for counters for databases assigned to a server.

    • Added conditional formatting to highlight error/problem status messages in white text on red background.

    • Corrected the issue where Non-English operating system locales could not execute the database copy distribution macro.

    • Increased the performance of the Server Failure buttons.

    • Corrected an issue that prevented the Diskpart.ps1 script from working when there was only one server line present.

  • Updated comments for processor input section to help customers understand the correct value to enter for SPECInt2006 rate value when deploying Mailbox servers as guest machines.

  • Fixed CPU percentage calculation formula for lagged database copy servers to use the available megacycles for the Lagged Copy servers as opposed to the primary datacenter Mailbox servers.

  • Added 900GB capacity as an option for disk drives.

Brief Description
These downloads contain pre-recorded prompts, grammar files, text to speech data, Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) files, and Voice Mail Preview capabilities for a specific language that is supported by Exchange 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging (UM). Warning: This UM language pack must only be installed as an add-in to Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging.

Overview
Unified Messaging (UM) language packs allow an Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) UM server to speak additional languages to callers and recognize other languages when callers use ASR or when voice messages are transcribed. UM language packs contain:

  • Pre-recorded prompts, for example "After the tone, please record your message. When you’ve finished recording, hang up, or press the # key for more options." in the language of the UM language pack.
  • Grammar files that are used by a UM server to lookup the names of given users in the directory in the language of the UM language pack.
  • Text to Speech (TTS) translation so that content (e-mail, calendar, contact information, etc.) can be read to callers in the language of the UM language pack.
  • Support for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), which allows callers to interact with UM using the voice user interface (VUI) in the language of the UM language pack.
  • Support for Voice Mail Preview which allows users to read the transcript of voice mail messages in a specific language from within a supported e-mail client such as Outlook or Outlook Web Access.

Instructions
Download the file and use Exchange Server 2010 SP1 setup to install the UM language pack.
