Overview
Update Rollup 3 for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 resolves issues that were found in Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 since the software was released. This update rollup is highly recommended for all Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 2 customers.

System requirements
Supported operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Vista

  • Exchange Server 2010 must be installed prior to installing this update rollup.
  • Any Interim Updates for Exchange Server 2010 must be uninstalled prior to installing this update rollup.

Note for Forefront Protection for Exchange users For those of you running Forefront Protection for Exchange, be sure you perform these important steps from the command line in the Forefront directory before and after this rollup's installation process. Without these steps, Exchange services for Information Store and Transport will not start after you apply this update. Before installing the update, disable ForeFront by using this command: fscutility /disable. After installing the update, re-enable ForeFront by running fscutility /enable.

Está disponível uma nova actualização para o filtro Junk E-mail do Outlook 2003/2007/2010.

Calendar Checking Tool for Outlook v1.1

Brief Description
The Calendar Checking Tool for Outlook (CalCheck) is a program that checks the Microsoft Outlook Calendar and items for problems or for potential problems.

Overview
The Calendar Checking Tool for Outlook is a command-line program that checks Outlook Calendars for problems. To use this tool, the Outlook calendar must reside on a Microsoft Exchange Server. The tool does not work with IMAP, with POP3, or with other non-Exchange mail servers.
The tool opens an Outlook profile, opens the Outlook Calendar, and then checks several things such as permissions, free/busy publishing, and auto booking. Then, the tool checks each item in the calendar folder for problems that can cause items to seem to be missing or that might otherwise cause problems in the Calendar.

Instructions
To install this download:

  1. Click the Download button on this page to download the file and save it to your computer.
  2. Unzip the compressed file that you downloaded in a blank directory on your computer.

Instructions for how to use this tool:
After you install this download, open a Command Prompt window in the directory that contains the CalCheck.exe file. To obtain detailed instructions, type the calcheck /? command in the Command Prompt window, and then press Enter.
Here is a list of command-line switches for CalCheck.exe:
CalCheck [-P <Profile name>] [-M <Mailbox name>] [-S <Server name>] [-O<path>] [-A] [-F] [-R] [-V] [-No]
CalCheck -?
-P Profile name (If this parameter is not specified, the tool prompts you for a profile)
-M Mailbox DN (If this parameter is specified, only process the mailbox that is specified)
-S Server name (Process the complete server unless a mailbox is specified)
-O Output path (path to place output files -default is the current directory)
-A All calendar items are output to CALCHECK.CSV
-F Create a CalCheck folder, and move flagged error items to the folder
-R Put a Report message that contains the CalCheck.log file in the Inbox
-V Verbose output to the Command Prompt window
-No To omit a calendar item test
The No parameter works with "org" to omit the “Attendee becomes Organizer” test and works with "dup" to omit duplicate item detection
-? Print this message

Directory Preparation for Lotus Notes Migrations

Overview
DirPrep is a PowerShell based script that prepares the customer’s Lotus Notes and Active Directory environment for migration. The DirPrep process will populate all of the email related attributes on user accounts, create accounts to represent shared/group mailboxes, create accounts for rooms and resources, and will create groups in AD for each group being migrated from Notes.
DirPrep prepares the following AD objects

  • Users
  • Group Mailboxes
  • Rooms and Resources
  • Groups

System requirements
Supported operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows XP

  • DirPrep Requirements
    • Remote Desktop will be primary method of connecting to this machine and MUST be enabled.
  • Hardware
    • A physical or virtual machine is required in order to run the DirPrep script. The machine can be 32 or 64 bit, should have at least 2GB ram, and a min 50GB of disk. The CPU should be a minimum of 1.8 GHz.
  • Software
    • It is recommended that the operating system is Windows server; however windows XP can be configured to work with DirPrep. Using a Server OS provides more stability and security for the DirPrep process. The script can be run on 64-bit OS but 32-bit PowerShell need to be used. The machine must be a member of the target domain or in a domain that has a trust relationship with the target domain, Server 2003 or above.
    • A copy of Windows PowerShell 2.0 must be installed. This can be downloaded from the Script Center Downloads.
    • Version 7.03 or higher Lotus Notes Client must be installed and configured for use by the DirPrep Service account.
    • The Windows Admin tools and support tools should also be installed (specifically, so that ADSIEDIT and ADUC can be used on the machine).
  • Service Accounts
    • A Domino account, matched with a corresponding Active Directory account is required for directory synchronization. These accounts will be used by Microsoft Online team and the responsible Domino/Active Directory customer resource to synchronize the customers Domino Directory to the customers Active Directory.
