  • Já existe uma agenda provisória que pode ser consultada no site da Microsoft Portugal;

30Gigs.com started off with the idea of creating a "All in one" site for the webmaster and avid computer users. Combining personal file storage, GD2 signatures and anonymous email all in one service, which would be free. Our main goal is to increase our space even further, to 50 gigs, or maybe 100 as time goes on.

Baseline BIS TCO Assessment - v3

"The Baseline BIS TCO Assessment analyzes a customer's actual IT costs and helps you to measure the ROI of migrating to Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 from NT4, NetWare, Exchange 5.5, and GroupWise. It will only take you about 1 hour to gather information about their IT environment for the tool. The Online Training and a Brand New Project Guide are also available – Training is HIGHLY recommended. This tool is focused on the 50-500 Desktop customer (up to 1000 employees). It is designed to be completed and delivered by a Partner, not the end customer."

[UPDATE]

MVP Summit Parte 3: Tecnologia

Aqui ficam algumas fotos:

MVP Summit Parte 1: as Pessoas

Desta vez têm de me desculpar o atraso.

MVP Summit, aqui vou eu!

Actualização do filtro Junk-Email do Outlook

"This update provides the Junk E-mail Filter in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with a more current definition of which e-mail messages should be considered junk e-mail."

KB bug

You cannot add users to a private address book in Outlook when the forest functional level is set to Windows Server 2003, este é um artigo da Knowledge Base da Microsoft que saíu recentemente.
O artigo diz assim:

SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
• You install Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server or Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer.

Actualização de documento: "The Role of Groups..."

O documento The Role of Groups and Access Control Lists in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Deployment foi recentemente actualizado.

Exchange SP2 CTP disponível a 19-Agosto

"Please be aware that CTP releases of any product will not display the stability of a shipped Microsoft product. Customers may encounter problems with Exchange Server 2003 SP2 that could possibly result in a loss or destruction of data. Some of the mobility features contained in this CTP download are not yet available for testing, pending availability of Windows Mobile 5.0 devices that have the Messaging & Security Feature Pack installed. Those devices will be available later in 2005 and 2006. Also some of the security features in SP2 are only available when used with Outlook 2003 SP2 which will not release until later in 2005. This build is available only in English."

Microsoft recruta 2 ex-IBM

O mercado IT é agressivo por natureza.

Microsoft planeia adquirir FrontBrige Technologies

"With this acquisition, Microsoft will deliver a service for enforcing compliance through archiving, minimizing spam and viruses, and ensuring e-mail availability in the case of a disaster.
[...]The planned acquisition of FrontBridge Technologies will play a key role in Microsoft’s strategy to help customers be more secure and better protect their messaging infrastructure while complying with mandatory regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and regulations that affect financial services companies such as SEC 17A and NASD 3010 and 3011.

This book explains how to configure Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server for sending and receiving Internet mail. Although Exchange supports many Internet protocols and features, this book mainly focuses on Internet mail and SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).

Exchange Server Error-1018

  • O número lógico da página lida não corresponde ao endereço físico dessa mesma página na base de dados;
